Subscription Terms
These Subscription Terms govern billing, renewals, cancellation, refunds, and related commercial matters for all LegalsOne subscription plans.
Effective Date: February 23, 2026
1. Subscription Plans
LegalsOne offers flat-rate subscription plans priced per firm, not per user. Each plan includes a defined set of modules, storage allocation, and support level as described in the Order Form or plan documentation. All authorized users within the subscribing firm are covered under a single subscription.
Available tiers (subject to change) include Starter, Professional, and Enterprise. The specific features and limits for each tier are described in the current Plan Limits & Resource Policy. Plan availability may vary.
2. Billing Cycle
Subscriptions are billed either monthly or annually, as selected at time of purchase or as specified in an executed Order Form.
- Monthly: Fees are charged on the same calendar day each month (e.g., the 1st or the date of initial subscription).
- Annual: Fees are charged in full at the start of each 12-month subscription year. Annual subscriptions are typically offered at a discount relative to monthly billing.
The billing period begins on the date the Customer's environment is provisioned and ready for use ("Provisioning Date"). For the first billing cycle, fees may be prorated from the Provisioning Date to align with the standard billing anchor date, per the agreed Order Form.
3. Payment
Payment is due in advance on each billing cycle date. LegalsOne accepts payment by credit card, ACH bank transfer, or wire transfer as specified in the Order Form. Automatic recurring billing applies to credit card and ACH payment methods.
For invoiced accounts, payment is due within 30 days of the invoice date unless otherwise specified in the Order Form. LegalsOne issues invoices electronically to the billing contact on file.
All fees are quoted and charged in U.S. Dollars (USD).
4. Automatic Renewals
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled in accordance with Section 6. For monthly subscriptions, renewal occurs each month. For annual subscriptions, renewal occurs on the anniversary of the Provisioning Date.
LegalsOne will send a renewal reminder at least 14 days before an annual subscription renewal. For monthly subscriptions, the upcoming charge is displayed in the account billing dashboard. Customers are responsible for monitoring renewal dates.
Renewed subscriptions are billed at the then-current rate unless the Customer has been offered a rate lock, which must be documented in writing.
5. Plan Changes
Customers may request a plan upgrade at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately. The fee for the upgraded plan is prorated from the upgrade date through the end of the current billing cycle; subsequent billing cycles are charged at the full new rate.
Plan downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing cycle. If the downgraded plan's storage or usage limits are exceeded at the time the downgrade takes effect, the Customer will need to reduce usage to within the new limits or remain on the current plan.
6. Cancellation
Customers may cancel their subscription at any time through the account dashboard, by written notice to billing@legalsone.com, or via their account representative.
- Monthly: Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current monthly billing period. Access continues through the period already paid for. No further charges are made after cancellation.
- Annual: Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current annual subscription year. No refund is provided for the unused portion of a prepaid annual term unless otherwise specified in the Order Form.
Upon cancellation, Customer data is available for export for 30 days, after which it is permanently deleted per our Data Retention & Deletion Policy. Customers are responsible for exporting all required data before this window closes.
7. Refunds
LegalsOne's general refund policy is as follows:
- Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable. There are no partial-month refunds.
- Annual subscriptions are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or as expressly provided in a written agreement.
- If LegalsOne terminates a subscription without cause, a pro-rata refund of any prepaid fees for the unused portion of the subscription term will be issued within 30 days.
- Refunds for SLA credits, if applicable, are governed by the Service Level Agreement. SLA credits are issued as account credit, not cash.
Exceptional refund requests (e.g., billing error, extenuating circumstances) are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Contact billing@legalsone.com.
8. Late Payment
If payment is not received within 10 days of the due date, LegalsOne may:
- Send written notice of overdue balance;
- Suspend access to the Platform after an additional 10 days of non-payment (20 days total from due date); and
- Terminate the subscription after 30 days of continuous non-payment, with written notice provided.
During a suspension period, Customer data is preserved and access can be restored upon payment of the outstanding balance. LegalsOne reserves the right to charge interest on overdue balances at a rate of 1.5% per month (or the maximum rate permitted by applicable law, whichever is lower) from the due date.
If a subscription is terminated for non-payment, data will be held for 30 days during which the Customer may settle the balance and reinstate, after which it will be permanently deleted.
9. Taxes
Subscription fees are exclusive of all applicable taxes, levies, duties, or similar governmental assessments ("Taxes"). Customer is responsible for all Taxes associated with its subscription, excluding taxes based on LegalsOne's net income. Where LegalsOne is required to collect and remit sales tax or VAT, such amounts will be added to the invoice. Customers claiming tax-exempt status must provide valid exemption documentation before receiving tax-exempt billing.
10. Price Changes
LegalsOne reserves the right to modify subscription pricing. Existing customers will receive at least 60 days' written notice before any price increase takes effect on their account. Price changes take effect at the start of the next billing cycle following the notice period. If a Customer does not agree to the price change, they may cancel their subscription pursuant to Section 6 before the change takes effect.
