DMCA & Copyright Policy

LegalsOne respects intellectual property rights and expects customers to do the same. This policy explains our procedures for handling copyright infringement claims under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

Effective Date: February 23, 2026

1. Overview

LegalsOne LLC ("LegalsOne") hosts customer-created and customer-uploaded content within isolated firm environments. While LegalsOne does not review customer content in the ordinary course, we comply with the DMCA (17 U.S.C. § 512) and respond to claims of copyright infringement according to the procedures below.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that all content they upload to the LegalsOne platform — including documents, images, software, and other materials — does not infringe the copyright or other intellectual property rights of any third party. Uploading infringing content violates our Acceptable Use Policy and may result in suspension or termination of the subscription.

2. Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe material accessible through LegalsOne's public website infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice to our Designated Agent. Your notice must include all of the following:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf;
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or a representative list if multiple works are at issue);
  3. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, with sufficient detail to allow LegalsOne to locate it;
  4. Your contact information (name, address, telephone number, and email address);
  5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or applicable law; and
  6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Send DMCA notices to: legal@legalsone.com (Subject: "DMCA Notice")

Note: LegalsOne's public website contains limited content (marketing materials, publicly published policies). Firm-specific data within customer environments is private and not publicly accessible. If you believe infringing content exists within a firm's private environment, that claim must be directed to the law firm operating that environment, as LegalsOne does not have visibility into private client data without legal process or firm authorization.

3. Counter-Notice Procedure

If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice. Your counter-notice must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature;
  2. Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal;
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification;
  4. Your name, address, telephone number, and email address; and
  5. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the district in which your address is located, or, if outside the U.S., for any judicial district in which LegalsOne may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original notice.

Send counter-notices to: legal@legalsone.com (Subject: "DMCA Counter-Notice")

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, LegalsOne will forward it to the original complainant and, after 14 business days, may restore removed content unless the complainant notifies us they have initiated legal action.

4. Repeat Infringers

LegalsOne will terminate the subscriptions of customers who are determined to be repeat infringers of third-party intellectual property rights, in appropriate circumstances. A repeat infringer is generally a customer for whom LegalsOne has received multiple valid DMCA notices relating to the same account.

5. LegalsOne Intellectual Property
