Anti-Spam Policy

Overview

LegalsOne LLC is committed to complying with the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003, CASL, and all other applicable anti-spam laws. We do not send, facilitate, or permit unsolicited commercial email. This policy covers both emails sent by LegalsOne and emails sent on behalf of law firms using platform features.

How LegalsOne Uses Email

LegalsOne sends the following categories of email:

• Transactional / account emails: Account creation confirmation, password resets, security alerts, subscription invoices, and similar messages. These are sent in response to user actions and are required for service delivery.
• Service notifications: Maintenance alerts, SLA events, product update notices required by our Terms of Service.
• Marketing emails: Promotional content about LegalsOne products and features, sent only with prior consent. You may opt out at any time.

All LegalsOne emails include:

• Accurate "From" name and email address identifying LegalsOne LLC
• Non-deceptive subject lines
• Our physical address (Nebraska, United States)
• A clear, functional unsubscribe mechanism (for marketing emails)

We honor unsubscribe requests within 10 business days as required by law.

Platform Email on Behalf of Law Firms

The LegalsOne platform may include features that allow law firms to send email communications — such as client notifications, document delivery confirmations, or intake form links — through the platform's infrastructure (using AWS SES). Law firms are independently responsible for:

• Ensuring they have appropriate consent before sending any email to clients or contacts
• Complying with CAN-SPAM, CASL, and other anti-spam laws applicable to their communications
• Including required identifying information in commercial communications
• Honoring opt-outs and unsubscribe requests from their recipients

LegalsOne provides the infrastructure for platform-triggered emails but does not control, review, or take responsibility for the content of emails composed by law firm users.

Opt-Out Rights

You may opt out of LegalsOne marketing emails at any time by:

• Clicking the unsubscribe link included in each marketing email
• Emailing privacy@legalsone.com with "Unsubscribe" in the subject line

Opting out of marketing email will not affect transactional or service notification emails, which are necessary for account management.

Prohibited Platform Use — Email

Law firm users of the LegalsOne platform are strictly prohibited from using any platform email feature to:

• Send unsolicited commercial email (spam) to individuals who have not consented to receive it
• Send email that violates CAN-SPAM, CASL, or any other applicable anti-spam law
• Use false or misleading header information
• Use deceptive subject lines
• Harvest email addresses through the platform for bulk unsolicited email
• Send phishing, malware, or other malicious email content

Violation of this section may result in immediate suspension or termination of platform access. See our Acceptable Use Policy.

Enforcement

LegalsOne monitors outbound email volume and complaint rates for platform email. Accounts that generate excessive spam complaints may be suspended pending investigation. LegalsOne reserves the right to terminate accounts used for spam in violation of this policy.
